Whats the difference between Relay and Direct modes?

0

There are two modes to send an email now, relay mode and direct mode. Relay mode simply means that you have to specify a mail server that your e-mail is going to be “Relayed” through. In direct mode all you have to do is specify is a valid DNS server. Once you send an e-mail in Direct mode, email Sender queries the DNS server for the MX Record of the address that you are sending to, and then connects directly to the remote server. Once it is connected it simply “Drops off” the e-mail. Send email with direct mode is surely faster and more efficiently than with relay mode. Email Sender sends your email with direct mode.
