Whats the difference between regular location extensions and ads with address overrides?
A location extension is a regular text ad that is enabled to show any address associated with a campaign. Any ad within the ad group may appear with any relevant address within the campaign. We’ll show the address extension only if there’s a relevant address near the user’s location. Address overrides use proximity targeting around a specific override address tied to a specific ad. For example, a ten mile radius restriction around the business address. This behavior is identical to local business ads and will have the same limitation of ad reach of the previous ad format. For example, the ad won’t appear to someone outside of the ten mile radius. As a user, if you search for a coffee shop in an area 15 miles away from where you are, the ad for a coffee shop in that area won’t be shown to you because you are outside of the ten mile radius for that coffee shop’s targeting.
