Whats the difference between quiet people and snobby people?
People want to be acknowledged. If you’re quiet, that means you’re shy, which means you avoid eye contact and you don’t smile at people. Smiling and making eye contact might actually lead to a conversation. If you don’t look at a person they think you’re ignoring them. Then they think you’re a snob, or that you’ve passed judgement on them as not worth speaking to. That is why the two get confused. The difference between the two is that quiet people don’t talk because they are shy. Snobs in general are not quiet people, though they can ignore people. Always assume someone is quiet before assuming they’re a snob.
Generally quiet people will not talk because they don’t think they can hold a conversation. Snobby people will not talk because they don’t want to hold a conversation. they get mixed up because they both don’t reveal enough about themselves for the other person to realise what their personality is like.
Quiet people tend to be shy. The are shy in conversations and don’t participate as much because of their shyness. Snobby people think they are better than everyone and everything. They might not participate because they feel it’s beneath them. If they do speak up, it’s only to put down whatever it is, to make themselves feel better.
