Whats the difference between Quickest and Lowest-Cost routing?
The Quickest Route will determine the time most efficient truck usable route based off of Rand McNally’s our proprietary designated road network database. IntelliRoute’s Lowest-Cost routes, will calculate an itinerary that will take into consideration user input values such as: Cost of Time per hour, Maintenance per mile, Fuel Efficiency (MPG) , and Price per Gallon of fuel. Lowest Cost will also balance toll prices versus the overall fuel consumption. Both options may also have truck-type attributes such as 53′ trailer length and single, double and triples configuration.
