Whats the difference between Place Cards and Escort Cards?
Escort cards traditionally have the name of a couple or a single guest, as well as the table number. Guests usually gather their escort cards from a table at the entrance to an event, and the card directs them to the table to which they have been assigned. Place cards are usually designated to denote the actual seat at a table where a guest should sit, and have the name of a single guest only. Place cards are positioned at the place settings before the guests arrive. Many people use a combination of the place card and the escort card, opting to have guests gather their cards at the entrance, and then position the cards at a seat they select at the assigned table. For larger, more formal events, such as weddings, we suggest that you use escort card and place cards, but that’s really up to you.
