Whats the difference between OWA and Outlook (Windows) or Entourage (Mac)?
They’re all similar in that you use them to access your ITCS Exchange account. But OWA doesn’t care what kind of computer you’re using or where you are, or if you have Outlook or Entourage. You just need a web browser and an Internet connection. Outlook or Entourage require a Windows or Macintosh computer. All three allow you to read and send e-mail, use your calendar to schedule meetings, access your personal contacts list and the Global Access List (GAL), and perform other tasks. However, OWA has several limitations: • less features than when connecting with Outlook or Entourage. • no PDA (such as a Palm) synchronization. • your Exchange account is only available when you are connected to the Internet.
