Whats the difference between NPR and KCUR?
KCUR is an NPR member station, which means we air National Public Radio programming (like Morning Edition, All Things Considered). We also air programming distributed by Public Radio International, American Public Media, the BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation) and others. NPR, PRI, and APM don’t own any stations, they simply produce programs to distribute to stations across the country.Occasionally NPR newscasts or programs feature pieces reported by one of KCUR’s staffers. When that happens you’ll hear the newscaster/host say, “From NPR member station KCUR in Kansas City, Frank Morris (or Ben Embry, etc.) reports.
