Whats the difference between nitrogen paintball tanks and HPA paintball tanks?

0

A well informed paintball player knows that there is no difference; ‘nitrogen’ and ‘HPA’ are two different ways to say the SAME thing. The term ‘n2 paintball tank’ used to be the norm, but that has since changed. The reason for this, is because paintball fields no longer use liquid nitrogen to fill paintball tanks. Paintball fields used to use nitro gas for tanks, but now use compressed air. Which is why more people now use the term ‘HPA’ than nitrogen. But, both n2 paintball tanks, and HPA tanks mean the exact same thing. Of course, we could stop using the term nitrogen alltogether, but that would be a mistake. The fact is, nitrogen is still compatible with HPA tanks (or should I say nitrogen tanks). Some paintball players still choose to use pure nitrogen instead of compressed air. Why a paintball player would choose n2 over compressed air I cannot understand. Highly compressed air is less expensive, and it is more consistent. Which is perhaps why the term ‘HPA’ dominates in the pain
