The difference between a car navigator and a GPS receiver would be mobility. If you have a phone which is compatible with GPS software application, then a GPS receiver would be an ideal to carry as something extra. A car navigator is a dedicate GPS solution which everything is already in-built. It’s less hassle as it’s plug and play.
