A. National Geographic Kids is a general-interest magazine for children to use at home, on their own. There are ten issues a year. Their website includes subscription information. National Geographic Explorer is an instructional magazine created for teachers and students to use at school. It is part of National Geographic School Publishing’s growing initiative to create engaging, high-caliber, nonfiction products for the classroom. Articles reinforce curriculum content, and activities hone key reading and writing skills. Each issue comes with an eight-page Teacher’s Guide that offers background information, discussion questions, reproducible work sheets, and suggestions on incorporating the magazine into your lessons.
