Whats the difference between my Netid and my email address?

0

For those students who arrived prior to fall 2001 their netid and their e-mail address are the same. In 2001 we changed the e-mail/netid scheme in order to allow people to keep their addresses for life. The new e-mail addresses were not well received. We decided to change the e-mail addresses to something more “user-friendly” nickname.lastname@richmond.edu. E-mail being sent to a student should be addresses by this scheme. Students will login to systems using their netid and password they used during account activation.
