Whats the difference between Muay Thai boxing gloves and regular boxing gloves?
Muay Thai gloves are smaller and lighter than traditional boxing gloves, and allow for better grip on an opponent (for a clinch etc). Most boxing gloves are 454g – 681g each, while Muay Thai gloves are generally 227g – 454g each. The actual size for fights is near the midpoint of each range. Then a standard MMA gloves are even smaller and weigh about 114g. Also The MMA glove has split, exposed fingers.
