What’s the difference between MEng Structural Engineering and Architecture (UCAS code HK21) and MEng Structural Engineering with Architectural Studies (UCAS code H2KC)?
MEng Structural Engineering and Architecture (UCAS code HK21) is our dual course and over the 4 years 50% of the course are modules in Structural Engineering and 50% in Architecture. In the first two years the majority of modules studied are engineering modules and in the 3rd and 4th years, more architecture is studied. This course is accredited by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), the Institute of Structural Engineers, and the Institute of Civil Engineers so you can achieve the requirements that lead on to qualifying as an Architect or a Structural/Civil Engineer. MEng Structural Engineering with Architectural Studies (UCAS code H2KC) is made up of approximately 80% Structural Engineering and 25% Architectural Studies. The architecture on this course is concerned with the theoretical and historical contexts of architecture and the architectural design process. This course is not accredited by the RIBA.
