Whats the difference between LPS, LPS-Public, and LPS-Remote Access?
LPS is the general description of the technology, and our master brand. Within the LPS product line, we have several editions designed for specific purposes. When we refer to “LPS”, we are talking about the general technology that is used within all the products. “LPS-Public” and “LPS-Remote Access” refer to specific products in our portfolio. LPS-Public is the browsing edition immediately usable by the public. It is designed for the individual user to use at home or on the road for personal business. It is designed to connect to the public internet, and it doesn’t contain customized VPN software. It is free and can be used by anyone. LPS-Public Deluxe is the same as LPS-Public, but it contains OpenOffice software. LPS-Remote Access is the accredited, telework edition custom built for government and contractor networks by SPI.
