Whats the difference between Limewire pro and Basic?
The limewire website tries to trick you into purchasing the PRO version, however it is still possible to find the links to download the basic version. As far as I’m aware the PRO version offers faster downloads- I’m not sure exactly how it does this, but I believe it simply removes limitations placed on the basic version. Since Limewire is open-source, somebody created a fork* that implements all the functionality of the pro version for free. It’s called frostwire and you can download it from http://www.frostwire.com/. *by fork, I mean that they took the Limewire source code and made a new product based on it.
