Whats the difference between leveling tools and upgrading tools?
Leveling occurs strictly through using your tools. When a tool levels up, it becomes more useful – the watering can, sikcle and hoe affect more spaces, the hammer and axe destroy rocks and trees in less uses, and the fishing pole casts further. To use the leveled-up version of the tool, hold down A to let it charge, and release after it’s charged as many times as you want. Remember to only let it charge as much as it’s leveled (one charge for level 2, two for level 3, etc), otherwise the use will fail and you’ll lose stamina. Upgrading occurs by having the tool upgraded at the General Store or Blacksmith’s Shop. Upgrading causes the tool to use less stamina. For the watering can, it will also hold more water, and for the fishing rod, it will also be more likely to catch rare fish.
