Whats the difference between LCD TVs and Plasma TVs?
It’s quite confusing, they look very much the same but they are completely different technology. LCD is Liquid Crystal Display: made up of monochrome pixels arrayed in front of a light source. Plasma TV made of many tiny cells located between 2 panels of glass hold an inert mixture of noble gases. The gas in the cells is electrically turned into a plasma. To tell the differences: usually a plasma TV there’s a piece of glass on the screen which you can press and feel it’s hard glass also you can see the reflection when it’s in dark colour. LCD: Some LCD also have the same reflection from the screen but when press with your finger to the screen you can see it looks like liquid in side. Most LCDs do not have reflection. If you have a LCD computer monitor you can do the experiment by pressing on the screen gently. To buy one LCD cost more than a plasma TV. A plasma TV consumes almost double the electricity of a LCD TV. Any other question it’s my pleasure to answer.
