Whats the difference between IPB and phpBB?
Forumer’s Invision Power Boards (IPB ) and phpBB (PHP Bulletin Board) are very similar. Your preference will depend on your skill level, board subject or function, and experience with forums. IPB boards tend to appeal to those looking for a lot of options in a more complex Admin CP, with less user-friendliness. IPB boards support a clean original skin, good amount of user options, etc. phpBB boards, on the other hand, use a more simplified Admin Control Panel. Options are marked clearly, and setting up your board should take very little time. While phpBB boards may seem a bit primitive at this time, Forumer has plans for their expansion.
