Whats the difference between indoor and outdoor waterfalls?
There are many differences – each interior water feature is specially-designed for indoor use only. Outdoor water features should never be used inside. These waterfalls have modified parts that are made to withstand the elements and have certain electrical components that should only be used outdoors. Indoor waterfalls lack these components, and may pose a fire hazard. Finishes vary between outdoor and interior waterfalls to optimize the water feature’s lifespan. Interior water features will deteriorate rapidly if placed outdoors. Oxidation and other signs of aging will set in much faster. Outdoor waterfalls also pose a hazard if placed indoors because most are manufactured to allow for a dramatic splashing effect. While this is safe for outdoor areas, it can create a hazard indoors. In the description for each fountain, you will see a line that says either “Indoors Only”, “Outdoors Only”, or “Indoors/Outdoors”. Failure to follow these guidelines can result in the damage cited above.
