Let’s Get This Straight Rap Was What The Wider Media Called Hip-hop Because They Couldn’t Conceptualise What The Culture Was About So Rap Is A Part Of Hip Hop Because Rapping (basic Lyricist)/mcing (advanced Lyricist) B-boying (breaking), Djing, Graffiti, And Beat Boxing Are The Key Elements That Make Up Hip-hop!. Please remember that it’s the mass media who likes to categories the elements of Rapping/Mcing into rap music. There is nothing called rap music – rapping yes Mcing yes Hip-Hop music yes so if you want to define what you listen too it’s Hip-Hop Music Rapping is the vocal part of the music. No one says they like RNB or Classical singing music – they state I like RNB or Classical Music.
