Whats the difference between having a crush on sb, being infatuated and being in love?
“Having a crush” is less serious. I can “have a crush” on a movie star for example, but I’m not in love with him. It just means I think he’s charming and attractive, and I’m curious to get to know him more. “Being infatuated” is usually indicative of that very intense physical and emotional feeling someone feels when the relationship is new or they can’t have the person they want. I think you can probably understand the meaning if you think of those situations. Just think intensity of feeling for that one. “In love” is just a general term for loving somebody romantically. It lacks the intensity of feeling of infatuation or the lightness of feeling of “having a crush.” It’s a good term for married people or people who have been together for a while, but it can generally apply to any couple.
