Whats the difference between hardscape and softscape?
A. The terms hardscape and softscape refer to essentially the heavier and lighter landscape materials respectively. It mainly refers directly to the rock, stone and flagstone, being the hardscape, and conversely, to the shrubbery, trees, soil and grass, as the softscape. For example, Go Green may complete the hardscape phase of the said project first, that being an interlocked driveway or flagstone walkway, then complete the job by planting the trees, shrubs and grass, better known as the softscape.
