Whats the difference between glass engraving and glass etching?
Glass engraving is done on a machine. Lines are drawn in the glass using a rotary stylus. The letters come out white in color, just like etching. Glass etching is done by creating stencils, and using a sandblaster to carve in the inscription by hand. It is a lot more time-consuming and requires more in they way of materials, which is why we have an additional charge. Some items can only be etched. The product description will state such and for those items there is no additional etching cost. If you have selected engraving and we feel the quality of the engraving is not up to par, we will etch the glass instead in a similar font with no extra charge to you.
