Whats the difference between Ge and Ge profile ?
GE, GE Profile, GE Cafe and GE Monogram are all brands for appliances manufactured by GE. Basically, each of these brands carry a line of appliances that carries a consistent theme or design aspect. GE Monogram, which is supposedly the luxury line, is focused at the “discriminating consumer” (whatever that means!). The GE Profile line is reputed to be “dramatically styled, innovative appliances crafted to transform your home and your lifestyle”. GE Cafe appliances “offer the look and feel of a modern restaurant kitchen, combined with the latest cooking advantages available to top chefs”. GE brand is the “timeless appliances with up-to-date features that offer excellent performance for a better, easier life”. And so on and so forth… Honestly, I think this is a successful market segmentation exercise by GE, allowing them to command higher mark-ups for their new products without giving up or alienating any of their loyal core customers.
