Whats the difference between gcse sciences and applied sciences?

0

Applied science is mainly coursework, but has one big exam at the end and is considered to be for the students who find science hard. Double science is harder than applied, but you have exams on each unit.; the first year is multiple choice exams, but the second year is multiple choice exams and structured exams. Double science just means you get two GCSE’s out of it. Triple science is when you study physics, chemistry and biology separately, in different classes. They study more than double and have exams like the double, but then have a big test on each subject at the end of the second year. Triple science gets an individual grade for each biology, chemistry and physics, rather than two for your overall performance. Double and triple are better choices if you wish to do any of the sciences at A-level. And yes, it’s available on both OCR and AQA :D.
