Whats the difference between gas and charcoal grills?
Well first of all, there are two types of gas grills. There are grills with propane tanks and there are grills which use natural gas. The more common propane tanks are heavy canisters and need to be taken to a store when they are empty. The tanks can run out in the middle of cooking a meal. In contrast, the natural gas grills run off the natural gas supplied to your house. Natural gas grils cost a lot more to install because you have to run a gas line to them and have it permited and inspected. But all types of gas grills are instant off and on. You don’t have to wait for a fire to be ready. Charcoal grills take a long while to get a fire going to the point that they are ready for the food. Many claim that the food tastes better on a charcoal grill, but I have not found this to be true. I use an other option. I have an electric grill I bought for $139. It is instant on and off and I have it on a side porch under cover. It runs off a regular plug from the house. Cost wise and time wise
