Whats the Difference Between Flat-Panel& LCD Monitors?

0

LCD monitors are always flat-panel, but not all flat-panels are LCD. It is entirely possible to have a flat-screen CRT monitor that weighs more than a young elephant, but that would not be the case in an LCD. LCD = Liquid Crystal Display. TFT screens are also used, but mostly on laptops. TFT = Thin Film Transistor, which is a different technology altogether. CRT = Cathode Ray Tube. This would be the monster monitors that are extremely heavy. The technology in those is similar to large heavy televisions.
