Whats the difference between Exclusive and Non-Exclusive ads?
One of the options we give our users is the ability to specify the exclusivity of the ad. When you activate your ad campaign you can specify whether your campaign is Exclusive, Non-Exclusive or Both. A Non-Exclusive ad campaign has ads that can share a page with ads from any other campaign. When Non-Exclusive ads are displayed, each ad slot retrieves its own ad and it’s very likely that they will be from different ad campaigns. An Exclusive ad campaign only allows it’s own ads to share a page. When an Exclusive ad is displayed, only one campaign is retrieved and all of the ad slots are filled with ads from the selected campaign. If all of the slots are not specified by the campaign, then the slots remain blank (so it’s possible that only one of the three ad slots gets filled). The advertiser is still charged for all three ad slots even if they are not all used.
