What’s the difference between etched glass and carved glass?
Etching the glass means that we sandblast the glass enough to affect the surface only. Etching does not go deep into the glass and it creates a one-dimensional effect. Carved glass is achieved by sandblasting deeper into the glass, creating a more detailed image and a three-dimensional sculpted effect. The carved edges within the image will actually appear whiter and brighter, as they pick up and reflect the surrounding light. The image will appear as if it is floating within the glass.
