Whats the difference between EHF and PHF in the prevention of allergy?
Data from the German Infant Nutritional Intervention Study (GINI),5 indicates that primary prevention of common allergic manifestations in infancy, such as atopic dermatitis, is possible by feeding either extensively hydrolyzed casein (EHF-C) or PHF-W formula, instead of intact cow’s milk protein (CMF) formula. There was no statistically significant difference reported between EHF-C and PHF-W in terms of effectiveness.
