Whats the difference between DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, and DVD+RW?

I’m not going to get technical. The best thing in telling if your player, either standalone players or computer can play a type of disc is by looking at the logos on the tray. You must have some type of logo displaying DVD or you won’t be able to play that disc or burn. If you have CD RW that means you can burn CD’s ONLY. For playing DVD’s you need the minimum DVD-ROM. Most disc drives come standard with DVD RW+,- and you can burn to DVD’s if you see these logos. DVD RW’s are rewritable. You can erase the disc and burn to it again, although I think it has an allowable amount of times you can do this, depending on what you are putting in it.
