Whats the difference between Direct Imports and buying from an importer?
Direct imports are buying from overseas manufacturers directly, per your design, using your logo or trade name. With Liberty’s full-service, you would enjoy the seamless process from sampling to the final delivery at your door without worrying about working with different cultures or language. Liberty will also provide warranty in the U.S. (See Warranty question underneath). Direct import gives you the best possible price without the hassle of traveling overseas and taking the risks of having unpleasant surprises but you do have to be financially sound to pay for the merchandise before you can sell them and allow longer lead time for overseas production, usually 90-120 days from sample approval date. Buying from an importer is a different story. Most importers work with 70-100% mark-up on top of factory’s cost as they have to keep inventory in their warehouse.
