Whats the difference between density and specific weight?
Density is the amount of mass in a given volume while the specific weight is the ratio of the density of a material to a specific reference material. Usually when using specific weights, we compare the density of materials to water (which, in essence, would just make the specific weight of the object the same as its own density). Hope this helps.
