Whats the difference between democrats and republicans?
In general, democrats tend to rely more on the government to solve big problems, whereas the republicans rely more on the working class people, ie, blue collar workers and such. This GOP mantra, as I call it, is logical. By the people, for the people . . . and not just appeasing the increasing degenerate whimsical masses.
Any question that attempts to answer this question is going to be a gross over-generalization and over-simplification. With that in mind, here goes… Republicans belive in the rule of law and the good of the whole over individual free choice. That’s why Republicans generally oppose drug legalization, prostitution, gambling, gay marriage, etc. because they believe that these things, while matters of personal business, don’t contribute to the prosperity of society as a whole (I’m not saying that I agree with this, or that it makes perfect sense, but it’s what Republicans generally believe). And also is generally why they favor the rights of big businesss over the rights of individuals. Democrats believe more in individual free choice over what’s good for society as a whole, so they tend to be more lenient on drugs, etc. But they also believe that people and busineses can’t be trusted, that only government truly has people’s best interest at heart (again, I’m not saying that I agree with
