Whats the difference between cremated remains and casketed sea burial?
1. Cremated remains is the product of cremation which results in a small-sized container filled with the deceased’s remains. Remains or ‘ashes’ are spread on the sea’s surface at least 3 miles off-shore. 2. A casketed ‘full-body’ sea burial takes place some 85 miles off the southern shore of Long Island, New York in the North Atlantic at depths exceeding 600 feet.
