Whats the difference between “Condo” (condominium) and “Apartment”?
You rent an apartment, but own a condominium. Actually, a condominium can be a stand-alone house, as well as an apartment-style dwelling. To properly be called a condo, you just need a condo association and some kind of communal property. Some neighborhoods are actually condominium developments and all the owners pay in to keep up (for example) a park.
