Whats the difference between CMYK, RGB, and spot color?
CMYK is the process of printing any color imaginable by mixing four colors together: Cyan (blue), Magenta (red), Yellow, and Black. RGB does the same thing using Red, Green and Blue. The printing industry mostly utilizes the CMYK method in both offset and digital formats. This is also known as 4 color process printing. Spot color is mixing one color of ink (a PMS Pantone color) and printing that color on an offset press. Spot colors (PMS colors) can be converted to CMYK or RGB but color variations will occur.
