WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CLUSTER CLASSES, CHOICE AND ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS?

0

• Cluster classes are part of our regular classroom instruction throughout the school year. At PS41 we offer Science, Physical Education, Art, Music, Computer, Drama and Movement/Dance. • Choice is an additional double period cluster class chosen by the students in 4th & 5th Grade. Past offerings have included Expression Art, Computer, Violin, Physical Education, Chess, Art, Science, Music and Chorus. Starting with the 2008-2009 school year, we are excited to add Math Enrichment to our choice program. • Enrichment programs are brought in to supplement our regular classroom instruction & cluster classes and are funded by the PTA with the help of our PS41 community. Past enrichment programs have included Chess, the Lincoln Center Institute, National Dance Institute. Enrichment programs are very carefully evaluated by the administration and are divided throughout all the grades so that each grade benefits from the program/s that are most appropriate.
