What’s the difference between Chemistry 122 and Chemistry 122C?

Both Chem 122 and 122C use the same book and cover the same material, both have three hours of lecture and one three-hour lab each week. The basic difference is that Chem 122 has a recitation and Chem 122C does not. Your Chem 121 recitations have involved small group activities and you get a take-home quiz. The Chem 122 recitation would be a little different – you can ask questions about lecture material or homework problems, and that is normally where you take your weekly quiz rather than having a take-home quiz. Chem 122C on the other hand does NOT have recitation at all, so these students take their quiz on-line each week. Students in both 122 and 122C have access to their lecturer’s office hours and the help offered by the TA’s in Room 160 Celeste. Exams are written by the individual lecturers, but will be standard multiple choice exams given in the evening, for both 122 and 122C. NOTE: Chemistry 122C is not being offered as of Winter 2008.
