Whats the difference between CD+R and CD-R?

0

There is no such thing for CDs, there is only CD-R. There is, however, a difference between DVD-R and DVD+R formats. Basically, the two formats were created by two different companies. Different manufacturers have lined up on the side of both formats, and they are both here to stay. Most current devices can read both formats just fine, and from a practical standpoint there is very little difference between the two for most applications. One technical difference is that DVD-R discs allow for only one layer, whereas DVD+R discs allow multiple layers of data on the same surface.

The difference is in the dyes used to make the disc. Older DVD burners could only burn one format or the other. The new burners can burn either format. Once the disc is burned, any DVD drive can read it.
