Whats the difference between Boron CLS Bond treatment and oil additives?

0

Boron CLS Bond is a solid boundary lubricant, which forms a permanent and self-replenishing layer of triclinic layers of crystals on all metal surfaces. It is not an additive to enhance the oil properties; rather, the oil is only the catalyst to carry the Boron to the surface. Oil additives such as Slick 50 are PTFE (Teflon ) based, chemistry developed at DuPont are not for fluid systems. DuPont states: “There is no evidence that Teflon reduces friction in fluid systems”. Another additive used is molybdenum, an additive presently in base oil to help resist friction.
