Biofeedback is a more specific approach to helping people determine which kind of mind-body self regulation will best meet one’s needs. Psychophysiological stress profiling is a commonly used element in biofeedback, It enables the practitioner to identify which body systems respond to which kinds of stressors, so the most effective training can be implemented. Biofeedback also gives more precise, more “contingent” feedback about self control skill learning.
