Whats the difference between Baldwin Images and Baldwin Estates locks?

A. FactoryLocks is proud to offer two of Baldwin’s largest locks lines, the Images and the Estates. The Images line are cylindrical locks that slide into cylindrical holes 2-1/8″ in diameter that are bored through the face of the door. We offer the Images handle sets, levers sets and knob set in all of the assorted functions like entrance, passage, privacy and dummy. The Baldwin Estates line are primarily mortise locks. These locks are characterized by a mortise lock box that is put into the interior of the door through a mortised slot made in the edge of the door. Since the lock is separate from the entrance trim, mortise locks can have numerous functions and generally enjoy a better reputation for durability.
