If you already have America Online, you can comunicate with users of the AOL Instant Messenger(sm) service, but there are limitations. For example: if you want to join a chatroom, use the voice program or send a file to a user of the AOLIM(sm) service, all you (or the user) will get is a message saying that AOL and AOLIM are not compatible and therefore you canot send them a file etc. You can have AOL and AOLIM at the same time, so I sugest you go download the program if you really want to chat often with AOLIM(sm) users and because this is the program we mainly use for group chats in this website.
