What’s the difference between an ordinary filling and a CEREC® restoration?
CEREC® restorations make your tooth look totally natural; nobody but you will know your tooth was filled! Another advantage is that unlike silver fillings, which contain mercury, CEREC® restorations are made from porcelain, which is totally metal-free. Other advantages include biocompatibility, resistance to plaque, which can cause gum disease and tooth loss, and increased strength. CEREC® restorations bond to your tooth and return it to its original strength. Mercury fillings are weak, have a tendency to leak, and can actually cause teeth to break.
