What’s the difference between an internship and a part-time job?
An internship is for a limited amount of time—usually one semester (15 weeks) and is directly related to your field of study. Additionally, by registering for an internship class, such as CM 160 or GB 188, you also receive academic credit. A part-time job may or may not be related to your field of study and you will most likely keep the job for the entire school year. Both an internship and a part-time job can lead to full-time employment.
