Whats the difference between an e-services card, a QPL account or Guest account?
Both e-services cards and QPL accounts give you access to online magazine and journal articles and e-books from your home, office or any computer connected to the internet. However if you plan to visit the State Library at South Bank and use our onsite services, you may need an e-services card. Onsite services include: • booking a computer • paying for printing and photocopying • accessing audio-visual items • requesting items from our stored collections When you register for an e-services card, you will receive a red membership card with your barcode (username) for access to the State Library’s services and resources. A QPL account is your unique login – both username and password are chosen by you to access online resources. You have to be a member of a Queensland public library and you get immediate access to online services after you have provided your Queensland public library card number and followed the registration prompts.
