Whats the difference between an Avoidant personality disorder and a Schizoid personality disorder?

0

Without going into any sort of depth… A schizoid personality has a tendency to “create his/her own reality,” is emotionally cold, avoids social interaction, is indifferent to what is socially acceptable, is relatively unable to express positive or negative feelings. Avoidant personality disorder is a tendency to avoid social contact for lack of self worth or fear of criticism, feelings of inadequacy, and will avoid trying new things due to a fear of ridicule. They are similar, but the latter has more to due with self-esteem and self worth.
