Whats the difference between a W and a WF or WP?

A W is simply a withdrawal from a course. You must withdraw from a course by October 25, 2008. If you miss the withdrawal deadline you can ask your professor to give you a WP – withdraw passing – or a WF – withdraw failing. These are given at the discretion of the professor, and many will not unless there are extenuating circumstances (I provided the link just in case). Although a W, WP and WF appear on your transcript they will not be used to calculate your GPA.
