Whats the difference between a synthesizer and an electric organ?

0

An electric organ usually has two or more manual keyboards and a pedal keyboard, similar to, and often imitating, a pipe organ. Synthesizers usually have only one manual and no pedal keyboard, and its sounds are more rock/techno oriented. The Hammond is usually called an organ when it is actually an early synthesizer. The difference between the two today is rather blurry, with many synthesizers having organ-like tones, and many electronic organs having synth sounds.
